If one instructor creates pools in T&Q, they “own” that content and another instructor can’t see or access their pools so as to create assessments with them. The owner/creator must share the pools from T&Q to make them visible and usable by others. To do that, the pool owner/creator should do the following:

  1. Go to Test & Quizzes, choose 'Question pool'.
  2. From the list of question pools, navigate to the question pool that you want to share and click "Share" beneath the question pool title.
  3. Sakai populates the question pool accessibility wizard with TA's and other Instructor in your course site.
  4. Select the Instructor by checking on Grant Access Check-box next to that Instructor.
  5. Click "Share" to finish the process.

There is a workaround to publish the question pool as an assessment and then letting access to the other Instructor.

Yes. Question pools are available to only those who create them and can be shared with other Instructors. This works for classes that has two or more Instructors. If an Instructor who is not part of a class would want to use the question pools created by another Instructor, with his/her permission, then the Instructor seeking the question pool should be added to the course site.

After this initial step, the Instructor who 'owns' the question pool,

  1. Can go to Test & Quizzes, choose 'Question pool'.

When grading a student's submitted work in Assignments, an instructor can permit the student to resend a revised version. When the student views the returned assignment, he will have the option of resending a new or edited version.

If you choose to “Add Assignment to Gradebook” (for grading through the Assignments tool) and realize that you actually want to “Associate with and Existing Gradebook Entry” (for grading through the Gradebook tool) you can do this by editing the settings on the assignment to reflect this change.

It will save the student submissions and allow you to grade within the Gradebook tool instead of grading within the assignments tool.
